The Boston Red Sox finally play baseball (against an opponent of their own caliber) on Saturday!
Roman Anthony, Wilyer Abreu, Ceddanne Rafaela and Willson Contreras will all be in the lineup as the club takes on the Minnesota Twins at Hammond Stadium -- opening up play in the Grapefruit League following an easy 18-3 victory over the Northeastern Huskies on Friday.
Anthony (Team USA), Abreu (Venezuela), Rafaela (Netherlands), Contreras (Venezuela) and Masataka Yoshida (Japan) will all soon depart to play for their respective countries in the World Baseball Classic, with the latter leaving to travel across the world to join his teammates on Sunday.
Payton Tolle will get the start, as he embarks on his quest to win the fifth and final spot in the starting rotation.
